Joan Craig Trailblazer Award Nomination

Thank you for taking the time to recognize the outstanding achievement of an exceptional individual who is a champion for the autism community.

The Joan Craig Trailblazer Award is given to an individual with a steadfast commitment to advancing the work of Autism Nova Scotia by creating awareness, acceptance, and opportunities for autistic individuals and their local community.

This award is presented annually to a change-maker who has made a tremendous contribution to inclusion and neurodiversity in the province.

Criteria:

  • The individual has made a significant contribution to Autism Nova Scotia and the autism community
  • The individual helps to build understanding, acceptance, and inclusion
  • The individual advocates for equitable access for everyone
  • Must be a resident of Nova Scotia
  • Please note: current Autism Nova Scotia employees and provincial board members are not eligible.

Nomination submissions are due by March 22, 2024.

The Joan Craig Trailblazer Award will be presented in the award recipient’s local community Autism Resource Centre on April 30. All nominators and nominees will be notified prior to the event.
