Recognizing the significance of daily occupations, Marie strives to support individuals in engaging in their occupations in ways that feel meaningful and aligned with their values, strengths, and needs. Through a person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming lens, Marie strives to create a safe and collaborative space where individuals can explore their goals and develop strategies, tools, and personalized approaches that support participation in the activities and roles that are important to them.
Marie’s areas of support centre on working with Autistic adults in the following areas:
⁃ Sustainable engagement in daily activities (e.g., caring for self and/or others, home management, rest)
⁃ Pacing and awareness of energy and capacity
⁃ Sensory experiences and sensory-based strategies
⁃ Executive functioning support (e.g., routines, scheduling, planning)
⁃ Engagement in leisure and interests, work, and/or academic activities
Fun facts & hobbies:
Outside of work, Marie enjoys playing video games and spending time with her partner. Being new to the province, they are looking forward to exploring Nova Scotia and doing lots of nature and outdoor activities.
