Learn to Skate (Strait Area)
This program encourages children and youth on the spectrum to skate with support of a “buddy” on the ice, and offers basic instructions on skating.

Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre
Description:
Participants are encouraged to skate in a fun atmosphere with different activities and games set up on the ice.
Each child is paired with a volunteer “buddy” on the ice that helps support their needs. Basic instructions and support provided.
The program is largely participant-led and activities are designed at each individuals’ skill level and capability.
