Autism Aviators presented by Autism Nova Scotia in partnership with Halifax Stanfield International Airport will take place on October 28.

Autism Aviators is for autistic individuals and their families who have upcoming travel plans or those who want to learn about the airport and air travel. Autism Aviators gives participants a walk-through of the airport experience, including check-in, security screening, waiting in departures and possibly boarding a plane (no actual travel will take place).

Important Information: Please note that anyone who is 18 or over must bring and present government issued photo identification at this event. Youth and children 18 and under do not need to provide photo identification but are asked to bring a student ID or birth certificate if possible. Any parents/caregivers attending must provide photo identification. Autism Aviators is not a drop-off event.

Parking: Please enter into the “Hourly Parking” section of the Parkade and take a ticket upon entry to the parkade. Watch for the overhead “Hourly Parking” signs as you approach the Parkade and follow the directions to the “Hourly Parking” areas. The maximum vehicle height is 86 inches.

Before you depart, a Halifax Stanfield employee will exchange your ticket for one that will let you out of the parkade at no cost to you.

Location: The airport is located at 747 Bell Boulevard in Goffs, NS

Directions from Halifax: Head North (outbound) on Highway 102 for approximately 35 kilometres. Take Exit 6, following signs for Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

Directions from Truro: Head South (inbound) on Highway 102 for approximately 66 kilometres. Take Exit 6, following signs for Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
