Employment Support Group
The Employment Support Group is an online social space for Autistic adults to connect, share, and support one another around employment-related experiences. Whether you’re navigating workplace challenges, exploring new opportunities, or looking to connect with others who understand the experience of being Autistic/having autism in the workforce, this group offers a safe and supportive environment to talk, type, listen, and learn. Formal diagnosis is not required, and there is no fee to register.
About the Group
Led by an Autistic facilitator, this conversational support group meets every other Tuesday evening to explore employment-related topics. Topics are determined according to participant interests and experiences, and may include:
- Maintaining a healthy work-life balance to avoid stress and burnout
- Navigating how to ask for and receive workplace accommodations
- Disclosing autism in professional settings
- Building confidence and community through shared experiences
Participants are welcome to join with their camera and microphone on or off and can engage through voice or chat.
Evolving with Community Insight
We’ve gathered feedback and met with Autistic individuals with lived experience to reflect on how this group can better meet the needs of our community. Based on these conversations, we’re actively working on adaptations to enhance the group’s relevance, accessibility, and impact.
