Social Learning in Drama Education (SLIDE)

Introducing Social Leading in Drama Education (SLIDE)!

Autism Nova Scotia is excited to announce that we have partnered with the SLIDE program and will be offering the same great program, with the same awesome instructors (Clinton & Brenna) through Autism Nova Scotia’s programs!

The SLIDE program was started by Clinton Chapdelaine and Brenna Meagher Shannon. It was created through the inspiration of Clinton's positive experiences with drama (as someone on the Autism Spectrum) and Brenna's expertise in Creative Community Drama. They have had the pleasure of working with amazing members who have developed improvisational theatre skills and also have collaboratively written multiple comedic plays. We have had amazing support from the community and we look forward to growing with Autism Nova Scotia.

SLIDE brings teens (ages 14 and up) and adults with autism together through learning acting skills, partaking in performances and the social experiences that drama has to offer.

Activities Include:
·         Improv
·         Drama games
·         Developing & producing plays
·         Community performances
·         And more!
