There are so many yummy flavors during the holidays – gingerbread, peppermint, caramel, chocolate and vanilla! A fun activity that you can do with your kids is have them help out in the kitchen to make treats and snacks that everyone can enjoy! This is a fun way to practice fine motor skills, following directions, matching, color recognition, counting, and shapes.
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Get frosting and put it in a bowl
Step 2: Use a spatula to cover the cone in frosting
Step 3: Stick candy to the outside to use as decoration!
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Put the candy canes in a ziploc back and crush the candy canes into small pieces
Step 2: Pour the melted chocolate into a bowl
Step 3: Pour sprinkles into a bowl
Step 3: Dip the pretzel rod into the chocolate
Step 4: Swirl it around in the crushed up candy cane and sprinkles
Step 5: Put it in the fridge to let it cool
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Make the popcorn in the microwave
Step 2: Melt the butter in a pot
Step 3: Put marshmallows in the melted butter
Step 4: Stir marshmallows until they’re completely melted
Step 5: Add food coloring to the melted marshmallow mixture
Step 6: Slowly dump the popcorn into the melted marshmallow bowl and stir until combined
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Slice the banana into ½ inch pieces
Step 2: Place three of the banana slices on the skewer
Step 3: Cut the top off the strawberry and put it on top as the “hat”
Step 4: put ½ a grape on top of the strawberry
Step 5: put 2 mini chocolate chips onto the top banana slice for the 2 eyes
Step 6: Put 2 or more mini chocolate chips onto the other banana slices for the buttons
Step 7: Put the small slice of carrot onto the top banana slice for the nose
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Cut the apple up into ¼ inch circular slices
Step 2: Spread the peanut butter over the apple slice
Step 3: Put another apple slice on top to make a sandwich
Step 4: Use a cookie cutter in the middle to make a fun shape!
