Winter Fun Indoors

When it is too cold to go outside the Quickstart team has some ideas to keep moving when stuck inside.

Maze Adventures: Use blankets and pillows to create a maze on the floor. Crawl, hop, stomp, or walk through it.

Dance Party: Turn up the music and move together!

Animal Stretches: Move like animals—walk like a crab, wiggle like a snake, stretch tall like an elephant, or loaf like a cat.

Build a Fort: Gather sofa cushions, blankets, and baskets to create a cozy hideout.

Big Hugs and Squishes: Wrap your child in a blanket, give bear hugs, or press gently with cushions for calming sensory fun.

Yoga Ball Fun: Roll, bounce, or balance on a yoga ball.

Sing and Move: Try classics like “Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes” or “Wheels on the Bus” to combine movement and music.

Bubbles: Blow bubbles indoors for endless giggles and chasing fun.

Bring the Snow Inside: Scoop some snow into a container, grab mittens, and let your child explore a mini winter wonderland indoors.

Stay warm, stay active, and enjoy the winter magic—even from inside!
