QuickStart Community Outreach

Chapters: Cape Breton Region, Cumberland County

Our team is thrilled to share some exciting updates on the achievements of QuickStart Nova Scotia (QS) in our recent community outreach project in the Cape Breton Region.

Community Outreach Success: QuickStart Nova Scotia has been actively engaged in a community outreach project aimed at promoting autism acceptance and support. Our dedicated team has achieved notable successes in collaborating with various towns and organizations. We have established partnerships with CBRM Transit, with posters now strategically placed in buses, and we have received positive responses from daycare facilities, with five daycares committed to displaying our posters.

Town Collaborations: Other towns and regions are in the process of considering QS collaboration opportunities. Notably, Amherst Colchester Municipality and Cumberland Municipality have shown interest, with the latter making our materials publicly available at the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre.

Looking Ahead: As we move forward, QuickStart Nova Scotia remains committed to expanding our impact and support for individuals and families across the province. We are actively exploring new collaborations, considering alternative outreach methods, and planning engaging events.

Get Involved: We invite everyone to get involved in our community outreach efforts. Whether through sharing our materials, participating in virtual events, or collaboration opportunities, your contribution is crucial in making a positive difference.

Thank You!: A special thank you to our dedicated team members, partner organizations, and everyone involved in making our community outreach project and retreat a success. Your commitment and passion are the driving forces behind our achievements.
